WHAT A NIGHT

So last night... wow! So we get to the show and the venue looks promising. Actually the venue was your typical venue small but good. Punk kids running the shows and coming out. Now if you are smart you will pick up where this is going. For all you morons let me explain. So Looks plays and they mess around joking mostly at the hardcore kids watching looks play due to their dancing. Waof plays and they do the same, nothing to bad. They just wanted to hear fast punk music. So the 3rd band plays is those hardcore kids i was talking about and they play one song and the punk kids give them shit and one of the moms of the hardcore kids starts talking shit and other people start talking shit and then a full out brawl breaks out. I mean kicks to the head full out dirty fight. Cops are called and all this garbage. And the deal for the night was a door split and they are supposed to take care of the touring bands... us... well since we don't know anyone here, the reason to tour, we didn't bring any kids out so we didn't get paid anything.

All and all it was a crazy night.

I Smell Aweful

So tour is the shit! I have having the time of my life! And I am super stoked for Full Sail when I get back and moving to Orlando! I have so much to say but I just don't know how to say it. If that makes sense. I get so upset about shit that goes down even if here is nothing I can do about it. People are just straight up ass holes. And kids at shows now are fucking lame as shit! If a band doesn't praise jesus they leave. If you don't scream at the top of your lungs so no one knows what you are saying they leave. I hate how shitty kids are. I hate that kids will only follow what everyone else is. Now let me jump back a little and talk more about that jesus thing. Because if there is anyone reading it they are probably going to get pissed off at me because I bashed on jesus. But forget that I do not care what you have to say nor do I care that you think he did what he did for me. I don't care. You are annoying worship how you want just keep it to yourself!

Been A Minute!

So I am in Mississippi at a coffee shop with the 8 boys. And I finally got internet access so I wanted to update everyone with everything thats going on so far. We are 4 or 5 days in I'm not 100% sure. Slept at walmart every night so far and it's been a ton of fun. I finally got a shower! I smelt so bad. It's been so fucking cold and yet I still managed to sweat at night. 

So that's about it I need to go sell things. And get tips for more beer!

The Colin Harty Experience!

10:00 AM

So it's 10 in the morning and I am sitting at trav's and ty's and rattail's and rach's house. We are leaving in a couple of hours for AL. I am the only one awake at this time except for Tim from Looks. And I am a bit bored in this giant house. I slept on a bunk bed last night  which I loved because I felt like I was 10 again. Last night was the 1st show of tour. It was a good show with some good bands. But last night I have come to realize that with all loves for something there are hates for that thing too. Now I love music. I love listening to music, promoting music, and all my really bad attempts of writing music. Music is a universal love all over the world. But last night a band kind of put me over the edge and I really just wish it was like old times. Now I was reading an article about the possible reunion of everyones beloved band Blink 182. And one line for the article really stuck out to me. It said that Blink 182 never dealt with a label and they just made the music that made them want to get up every morning to do it all over again. It wasn't about there giant bus with flat panel TVs and Giant houses and a ton of 0s in there next bank account statement. They played music for everyone to just have fun and sing-a-long. Everyone is just looking to be the richest person in the world. And good for them. Go for it. But don't think like you are better in any way or will never be you will just be like the rest of the world that is trying to make it and get a ton of fans. (sidenote- this is clearly for all the unsigned bands that have their heads so far up their asses to notice that they aren't that good). 

I am done now. This wasn't really structured at all just some random half awake thoughts for the world to read for about 5 minutes of your long days ahead of you. Everyone have a great day and I will see you here next time I have internet access.

Just Another Boring Day

So today nothing new really went down. I just got ready to leave for the next couple of weeks. The only really good thing about today was I got my acceptance letter from Full Sail. Even though almost everyone gets into Full Sail as long as you are over 18 and have a GED, but it is still nice to have that and makes me feel good about what's to come within the next 2 years! 

My Thrashers lost again last night and its starting to get frustrating. I know now what is it is like to a Boston Red Sox fan. But never the less I will stay true to my Thrashers since hockey is the best sport of all time well right there with lacrosse. 

I'm excited about this tour with WAOF. I really need a road trip. And I can't wait to sleep in a frozen van. 

This has been a boring post but I mean it has been a boring day. But tomorrow will be a ton of fun. Come to Under The Couch to see me before i go!

Day One

So I started this to have somewhat of a connection with everyone who cares to read about my life. With me going on tour with We Are Only Fiction soon and then shortly after moving to Florida. I will hopefully not be too busy to keep this update and keep everyone informed of all the crazy, well probably more boring antics I will get getting into. Also I just really love to write and I have kind of fallen out of that recently, so I am hoping that this will get me back up and running again. I will also start to do some reviews of albums in this from time to time so if you have any albums you want my thoughts on leave them in the comments sections I will check them out and post something up here for you. Today was a very non eventful day due to the fact that its laundry day but it is also only 2:40 in the afternoon. 

I am super excited for the next couple of weeks to be with some of my great friends that I don't get to see a lot We Are Only Fiction (myspace.com/weareonlyfiction). If you have not checked them out yet I say do so and be on the look out because they will be putting NEW songs up very soon! Check those dates and come hang out if we are in your town or a town close by. 

Also please send me bands that you think I may like. Not to just review but I am always down for some new music to come my way!
